Biography
Some humans find love in the rough, tough and stoic nature of the dwarfs rather than the fair and graceful elves, while dwarfs also admire the creativity and adaptability of humans to any role they are given. Half-Dwarven children are uncommon but not unheard of. They are notably shorter than most humans but tower above their dwarven cousins, while retaining much of the flexibility of their human ancestors and some of the reliable bulk of their dwarven heritage, and unlike their Half-Elven counterparts, they are wholly welcomed into Dwarven communities.
Most Suitable Roles
Half-Dwarves mix the versatility of Humans with the sturdiness of Dwarfs, and are more open to experimenting with magic than pure Dwarfs. Only the naturalist classes (Druid and Ranger) are unavailable to them, still favouring their halls of stone over the untamed wilds.
Half-Dwarven Mages are unique in that they are much tankier than the other races (they gain 9 HP per level as opposed to the 8 that Elves, Gnomes, Half-Elves and Humans gain), but with 19 Intelligence and Wisdom, their overall power and MP are mediocre at best (equalling that of a Human) and their tankiness is offset by the fact they can't avoid getting hit as well, although they do at least get a small damage buff when underground.
Half-Dwarven Paladins boast the highest Strength and durability of all the Paladin races, including heal spells that are on par with that of a Human. The drawback is that they have the lowest Dexterity, essentially making them the polar opposite of Halfling Paladins, which trade some Strength and durability for an increased hit and dodge rate, as well as an additional 7 armour to help mitigate damage that does get through.
